Workshop on self evaluation and systems reviews

Work package 4 was officially launched with a workshop conducted by ASIIN and ANQA in Yerevan, Armenia. During the workshop the procedure of external review was presented and a practical work on self evaluation reports were conducted.
The purpose of the self-evaluation and drafting of the corresponding self-evaluation reports is to verify to which extent the lessons learnt from the project and in particular changes in the university governance and programme management policies in line with Bologna tools.
The ASIIN institutional accreditation model will serve as the evaluation framework as it covers the governing policies to be reviewed (strategic management, structural, budget and human resource management and operationalisation of student-centered teaching and learning) very well.
The project management team with ASIIN and ANQA received the requests from 2 partner universities (Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts and Gavar State University) to combine the project evaluations with an actual ASIIN accreditation. External evaluation will be conducted in other 8 HEIs.
It was furthermore clarified during the discussions that the focus of the project is on institutional-level governance and that programme-level accreditation is therefore not part of the project.
